Accuracy Draws Attention
Sharing a life-long passion for learning through science and art, I utilize learning theories to create learning environments that tell the story of the subject–accurately and artfully. Growing up, playing with starfish and razor clams on Long Island instilled a deep curiosity about science and the world around me. I was lucky to have had a real superhero for a Dad who saved lives putting out fires. His profound example taught me the importance of helping others, which drove me to pursue a career in biomedical visualization. Rooted in a thorough understanding of visual storytelling, I help scientists, lawyers, clinicians, and educators distill complex scientific and medical information into impactful visuals to tell their stories.

My BFA degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago taught me to think in layers, focusing on printmaking and type. Working for a decade as a liaison between clients, designers, and vendors, I learned the value of clear visual and verbal communication. As I led a team and designed training material to teach remotely, I became fascinated by how people learn. To gain perspective in the medical field, I later worked as a Medical Assistant learning about patient education in a real-life setting.
Having achieved a Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021, I now combine my passion for education, medicine, art, and design using programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Corel, Premiere, After Effects, 3Ds Max, Pixologic Zbrush, Keyshot, and more. As a biomedical educator, I use tools from human anatomy, neuroanatomy, neuroscience, pharmacology, illustration, storyboarding, 3D modeling, and animation to tell the story of a subject.
